Jeff Bridges. I had seen movies like AGAINST ALL ODDS with James Woods and JAGGED EDGE with
Glenn Close and didn't realize that it was Jeff Bridges in those movies. I decided to do a little research on Jeff
because I was interested in writing a screen play for his brother and his father that they were looking for.
His famous father Lloyd has sadly since passed. Lloyd was in TUCKER in what amounted to not much
more than a cameo; but he played a real mean Senator.
In doing my research for Jeff I watched, oh, about 20 of his latest movies starting with stuff like
STARMAN and the FABULOUS BAKER BROTHERS. Just this year, I was discussing this
with someone and they got out their movie guide and Jeff has a very large body of work -
starting with THE LAST PICTURE show done in 1931. Just kidding. It was in the 1960's
with Randy Quaide and Cybill Shepherd.
Jeff likes to play roles that have a purpose, conviction and struggle. And he plays them well.
