RELIGION
I will be placing a summary of some
stuff I recently wrote regarding "the trinity".
I don't like the word. And
I give my reasons. I realize that there are many scriptures showing
three persons
together so that they are indeed
intimately associated, but Jesus said "I and the Father are one".
It is not
said this directly
and outright about the three being
one, per se, now is it?
Jesus even prayed "That they may
be one even as we are one". So where does that leave us?
It just seems to me that those who
insist you use this word "trinity" have their hair buns wrapped too tight
and insist the King James Bible
is the only authorized version if you catch my drift.
It seems to me it should really
be a moot issue. God is God.
And then I read recently that since
Jesus said "I and the Father are one" does that mean that the Father
was crucified. Now there you
go again. Why do you have to make things complicated when they're not.
Just leave it alone, will ya?!
It's one of those issues that takes
on a life of it's own. And tends to divide only.
Those who insist on using the word
seem to have an agenda - and you must jump through this hoop with
them or you're just not a proper
believer in their eyes. Sad.
